Reaching the city from the Bayshore area is easy via public transit.

     Academy Bus Lines operates daily service from Long Branch to Port Authority/42nd St. in NYC, with stops along Rte. 36.  Busses are equipped with lifts and spaces for wheelchairs, and Port Authority is equipped with elevators from bus platform to street.  
     NJ Transit Rail also offers daily service from Bay Head to Penn Station in NYC, with stops along the coast, including Middletown.  Trains have wheelchair-accessible cars and Penn Station is equipped with elevators.
     Your guide can escort you by bus or train to New York, or meet you at a designated spot in the city.
